Fitness YouTuber Connor Murphy, known online for his looksmaxxing workouts and physique-focused content, has reportedly died in Thailand, according to Fitness Volt.
Reports list Murphy’s age as either 31 or 32, depending on the source. As of July 2026, no public statement has been released by his family members or official representatives.
Body Found in Samut Prakan Lake
According to Fitness Volt, emergency rescuers were called to a luxury residential area in Bang Phli district, located in Samut Prakan province, shortly after 3 p.m. local time on July 7, 2026.
The call came after a foreign national was reportedly seen in a lake.
Divers later recovered Murphy’s body about 20 metres from the shore.
Authorities said there were no obvious visible signs of foul play. An autopsy and further testing are expected to be carried out, and the U.S. Embassy is set to be notified.
Thai Media Reports Unusual Behaviour Before Death
Thai outlet ThaiRath reported that before police became involved, a village worker recorded Murphy behaving erratically.
The reported behaviour included trying to give money to a driver, approaching another person’s car, shouting, rolling on the road, making praying gestures and acting unusually in the residential area.
When officers arrived at the location, Murphy reportedly ran into the village and then entered the lake.
Police Say Murphy Drowned After Swimming
According to ThaiRath, Murphy continued swimming until he became exhausted.
He reportedly drowned at a depth of more than 10 metres.
Divers found his body around 30 minutes later.
Officials have not yet confirmed the exact cause of death, pending autopsy and toxicology results.
Girlfriend Says She Had Not Seen Drug Use
Murphy’s girlfriend, described by ThaiRath as a 22-year-old woman, reportedly told authorities they had been dating for about three years.
She said Murphy had recently returned to see her after spending time away.
According to the report, she said she had never seen him take drugs before and could not explain his unusual behaviour before the incident.
Rental Home and Vehicle Reportedly Examined
Investigators reportedly inspected the rental property where Murphy had been staying.
The house, estimated to be worth around $600,000, was allegedly found with paint smeared across several areas, including furniture and appliances.
Authorities also reportedly found two unused syringes in Murphy’s vehicle and unknown pills inside his waist bag.
However, these reported findings do not confirm the cause of death, and officials have not said whether they were connected to the incident.
Investigation Remains Ongoing
Police and medical officials are expected to continue examining the circumstances surrounding Murphy’s reported death.
The autopsy and additional tests will be important in determining whether any substances, medical issues or other factors may have contributed.
At this stage, authorities have not confirmed foul play.
