Gap in Real Estate Prices Between Brampton and Mississauga Widens Further

The difference between average real estate prices in Mississauga and Brampton continues to grow, with Mississauga’s housing market recording higher values than its northern neighbour in recent years.

Mississauga Average Price Tops $1 Million

According to the latest Greater Toronto Area market-tracking figures from the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board, the average selling price across all residential property types in Mississauga reached $1,014,120 in June.

During the same month, the average sale price for all housing categories in Brampton stood at $888,203.

Price Difference Reaches $125,917

The latest figures show that an average property in Mississauga sold for $125,917 more than one in Brampton.

This widening price gap reflects how the two neighbouring Peel Region housing markets have performed differently over the past couple of years, with Mississauga increasingly commanding higher average sale prices.

Mississauga continues to lead Brampton in average real estate values, with its June average surpassing the $1 million mark. The growing $125,917 difference shows that location continues to play a major role in home prices, even between neighbouring cities within the same region.
