Suspect Arrested and Charged After Stabbing Spree in Downtown Hamilton: Police

Hamilton police say a suspect has been arrested after four people were stabbed in the city’s downtown core on Tuesday afternoon. The victims were taken to hospital, and police said their injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

Police Responded Shortly After 2:10 p.m.

Officers began receiving reports of stabbings shortly after 2:10 p.m. on Tuesday.

The incidents happened in the areas of King Street East and James Street South, as well as near the MacNab Street Transit Terminal, according to police.

Four Victims Taken to Hospital

Police allege the suspect stabbed four individuals during the downtown incidents.

All four victims were transported to hospital for treatment, and their injuries were described as non-life-threatening.

Suspect Arrested Without Incident

Hamilton police said the suspect was arrested without incident.

The accused has been charged with four counts of assault with a weapon.
